Samsung and Sony are working together to provide access to the PlayStation Now game streaming service to owners of Samsung's smart TVs.

With PlayStation Now, you can stream games from the internet right to your TV without your PlayStation console, according to CNET. Downloads are also not necessary since games are streamed from the cloud.

While no exact date has been provided for the new service, the two companies plan on bringing PlayStation Now access to Samsung's internet-connected TVs in the U.S. and Canada sometime in the first half of 2015. The service is currently only available in these two countries and provides 200 PlayStation 3 games to choose from and play whenever you want.

The announcement of the new service follows almost a year after PlayStation Now made its debut at CES 2014, and it comes at a time when Samsung holds a top spot in the global TV market, The Verge reported. The collaboration also gives Sony a chance to get in involved in Smart Hub software.

"Partnering with Samsung is a key step forward realizing this vision, as we can reach a broader audience of consumer who may not own a PlayStation console to show them why gaming with PlayStation is such a unique and amazing experience," said Masayasu Ito, executive vice president of Sony computer entertainment.

Sony and Samsung will hold the first demonstrations of PlayStation Now on Samsung TVs at CES 2015, which will take place in January in Las Vegas.
