That was quick! Kate Hudson could be dancing her way into another relationship after calling off her engagement with Muse frontman Matt Bellamy.

The single 35-year-old "Brides War" actress was reportedly seen getting cozy with "Dancing With the Stars" pro, Derek Hough – just three days before the news of her failed engagement was made public.

A source told Us Weekly the two spent last weekend at the Nice Guy Restaurant in L.A. where they ate "dinner, drank, and stayed past closing." The source added that Hudson and Hough were spotted kissing throughout the night.

Last month, the two were photographed together at Hudson's mom Goldie Hawn's "Love In For Kids" charity event.

Us Weekly reported Monday that Hudson and Bellamy had separated after four-years together.  The twosome welcomed a baby boy named Bingham Bellamy in July 2011, just three months after getting engaged.

"Kate and Matt have been separated for some time now," a representative for the actress told People Magazine. "Despite this, they remain very close friends and committed co-parents."

Hudson also has a 10-year-old son Ryder with her ex-husband Chris Robinson, who she separated from in 2006. In April, the actress opened up to Self Magazine about some of the challenges she faces in her love life.

"Relationships are the most challenging things. It's where you do the most work in your life." she told Self Magazine. "You come face-to-face with yourself, and if you can deal with realizing we're all flawed, accept it and work with it, you might have a really amazing, lasting relationship."

She added, "If I look at my parents [Goldie Hawn and stepfather Kurt Russell], who've been together thirty-something years, I'd say no matter what they've been through, they share similar values and really like each other. It sounds easy, but it's not."
