When the nominees for the 57th annual Grammy Awards' four major categories were announced earlier today, country music was well represented. Some of the genre's biggest stars, including a talented newcomer and a true country legend, were all mentnioed

And in the mix of nominees, country music defector Taylor Swift also made her pop music mark.

Country mainstays Kenny Chesney, Miranda Lambert, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Eric Church, Dierks Bentley and Lee Ann Womack are among the early nominees, along with newcomer Brandy Clark and country legend Glen Campbell.

Ed Sheeran and Pharrell Williams joined "CBS This Morning" to announce some of the Grammy nominees. They took turns reading the artists who were up for Record of the Year, Best Country Album, Best Pop Vocal Album and Best Urban Contemporary Album.

The rest of the nominations will be announced via Twitter throughout the day, and Album of the Year will be announced Friday night on "A Very Grammy Christmas." The Grammy Awards will air on Feb. 8, 2015.

Swift, whose record-breaking, "1989″ isn't eligible this year, still scored Record of the Year and Pop Solo Performance nominations for her "sorry, haters" single "Shake It Off." The hit song was released during the Grammy's eligibility period (Oct. 1, 2013, through Sept. 30, 2014.)
