With Reggie Bush ailing for much of the season and a running game that ranks just 30th in the NFL, the Detroit Lions had been mentioned as a possible landing spot for the recently reinstated Ray Rice.

However, that theory was put to bed earlier today.

"We haven't considered that at this point," Lions head coach Jim Caldwell told the Detroit News when asked about adding Rice. "I am not sure what will happen to him in this league. Certainly I believe in second chances. At some point I think he will get one. But when it's going to happen, I don't know."

The Lions are coming off of one of their best offensive performances of the season. Detroit scored 34 points and racked up 474 total yards against the Chicago Bears on Sunday.

Running back Joique Bell carried the ball 23 times for 91 yards and two touchdowns, while The Riddick caught six balls out of the backfield for 54 yards.
