A free update titled "Power of Defiance"  for Warner's "Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor" features a new character skin that allows players to kick some orc butt as a woman now.

The skin puts players in the skin of Lithariel, daughter of Lady Marwen, Queen of Nurn as she faces down the forces of evil. From the "Shadow of Mordor" Wiki: "As an infant, Lithariel was the only survivor of a trading ship which fell prey to the raids of the Tribesmen. Queen Marwen adopted the infant as a daughter, and she is now the first in line for the throne. Lithariel is a tough warrior; she is resourceful and honorable to a fault. She has never surrendered in a battle, even when it cost those following her their lives."

Developed by Monolith, "Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor" is a very well-received action role-playing game set in J.R.R. Tolkien's fantasy world. The original setting for the game features a male lead, Talion. Similar to the other skins released (Black Hand and Dark Ranger) you can play the full game with the Lithariel skin during gameplay, but the story and/or cut-scenes will not change.

As well as the character skin, available for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and via Steam today, the digital bundle comes with a Challenge Mode and Epic Rune. The new challenge mode was developed specifically for Lithariel to tackle. Thanks to ShackNews for the tip.
