“Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” is reportedly building their Daily Planet set in Chicago.

Batman-News reports a source claims director Zack Snyder’s production tapped the same location used as Bruce Wayne’s penthouse in “The Dark Knight” to use as a backdrop for The Daily Planet.

“They are in the early stages of prepping The Daily Planet lobby in the lobby at 111 E. Wacker,” the source said. “It looks like this was The Daily Planet in Man of Steel too (and fun fact, also Bruce’s penthouse that Joker crashes in The Dark Knight). They are building the globe statue now, no lights or gear yet so shooting probably won’t start until tomorrow at earliest.

“Trailers and trucks in street below with signs for ‘Bruce’ and ‘Lois’ (see photos below). Also some other random signs for characters like ‘Sage’, ‘Card’, and ‘Jim’. I read that there were permits for Millennium Park too but didn’t see any activity there.” (Click here to view the set photos)

Little is known about the “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” production, but cast member Holly Hunter recently talked to The Wall Street Journal about working on a big budget film.

“It was really fun to be part of a giant, massive piece of machinery, headed up by Zack Snyder, who is thoroughly at home in that uber mega environment. Most people would have a nervous breakdown with that kind of pressure, and he’s enthralled,” Hunter said.

The actress also teased a few details about what it was like see the Man of Steel and Caped Crusader interact with each other.

“I have scenes with Superman. He looks phenomenal. And to see Ben [Affleck, who plays Batman] and Henry [Cavill, who plays Superman] together is quite formidable. They are massive hunks of masculinity,” she said.

“Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” is set to hit theaters on March 25, 2016.
