Gamers may have to put in a lot of work if they’re looking to “beat” “Destiny” all the way through.

In the latest weekly update on Bungie’s blog, developers explained the best ways to complete raids. The best strategy to go into a raid is not to have weapons balance, meaning each player is tasked with a different roles and arsenal at their disposal.

"Balance is not about everyone being equal, but rather that not everybody is doing the exact same thing. If everyone is doing the same exact thing, something is not balanced. Everybody is trying to pursue the same unbalanced thing,” Tyson Green, Bungie’s senior designer, told the blog.

It is also important to know learn about the arena you’re stepping into, but be aware that developers are watching gamers. For example, Bungie explained in their blog Auto Rifle and Shotgun exhibitions “were dominating the Crucible.”

Being able to use the same weapons to destroy your enemies isn’t the goal of the Crucible raids, so developers decreased the base damage of an Auto Rifle by two percent.

“The Auto Rifle archetype is designed to appeal to players who like to throw up a wall of bullets and not worry if a few miss their target. It is intended to inflict sustained damage at close to medium range, but to lose effectiveness at longer ranges,” Bungie wrote.

“Today the Auto Rifle is too effective at long range, even beating Scout and Pulse Rifles in some circumstances. Expect stability and/or damage adjustments to the Auto Rifle to address this in the weeks ahead.”

The developers also took the time to explain why they decreased or increased weapon efficiency in their latest update. Read more about the latest changes made to your arsenal, here.
