Does your taste in music reflect your intelligence? Virgil Griffith, a software application writer, may have figured it out, according to Consequence of Sound.

Griffith charted the musical tastes and SAT scores of an assortment of colleges."For example, students attending the California Institute of Technology have an average SAT score of 1520," according to Consequence of Sound. "By looking at Facebook to determine the most popular (or - 'liked') band of students at Cal Tech, Griffith was able to conclude that Radiohead really truly is music for smart people."

Griffith's chart of the "correlation between musical tastes and dumbitude (smartitude too)" is from 2009 and according to his research, Sufjan Stevens, Counting Crows, Radiohead and Guster are the preferred bands of smart people, while Lil' Wayne, Beyonce, Soca and T.I. are for dummies. Kanye West and Jimi Hendrix are the preferred artists of the Average Joes.
