Yesterday, I posted a story on why the CW's "Flash" is quality television...and you should be watching it. Today, we get a few pictures from the set of "The Flash" in Canada which just add to the reason(s) why this show is doing it right. Thanks to Cosmic Booknews for the tip.

The pics show the first real shots of the Flash's arch-enemy, Reverse Flash/Professor Zoom. The pictures also seem to be depicting a fight scene of some sort between the two characters. It's hard to say actually who is playing Zoom at this stage of the game, but I think it's safe to rule out the rumor that Tom Cavanaugh (who plays S.T.A.R. Labs entrepreneur Harrison Wells) will eventually become the Reverse Flash because the person in this suit looks nothing like Cavanaugh.

In the comics, the original/Silver Age Reverse Flash is Eobard Thawne (aka Professor Zoom). He first appeared in "The Flash #139" in September of 1963. Thawne is a criminal from the 25th century who found a time capsule containing the Flash's costume. He uses a futuristic machine to amplify the suit's speed energy, providing the abilities of the Flash as long as Thawne wears it. In the process, the colors of the costume reverse, with the suit becoming yellow, the boots and lightning bolt highlights turning red, and the chest symbol's white circle becoming black. The New 52 iteration of the character is Daniel West, Iris West's (the Flash/Barry Allen's wife) brother.
