Liam Neeson’s wish to reprise his role Qui-Gon Jinn might comes true, as Lucasfilm is reportedly looking into three Obi-Wan Kenobi stand-alone films.

Cinelix.com reports sources are claiming the “Star Wars” franchise creators are developing a “trilogy of films centered around the iconic Jedi.” One of the rumored films will allegedly be set solely on Tatooine and the other two will follow Obi-Wan as he travels the Galaxy.

"First up, they are not talking about an Obi-Wan spin-off movie but a trilogy of Obi-Wan movies. I need to stress that these movies are not connected. They aren't part of a story arc but 3 separate Obi-Wan adventures set between Episodes III and IV,” the source said.

Cinelix.com’s source claimed Qui-Gon Jinn would be a character in all three films, along with Owen Lars. The alleged film’s plot will also feature flashbacks of Obi-Wan fighting in the Clone Wars.

“I'm pretty sure a standalone Kenobi film is going to happen, but it seems like they want to use other characters and timeframes for the other standalone titles,” according to Cinelix.com.

:As I said, I trust the source, I think his perspective on the information is a little different. What it sounds like to me, is that Disney/Lucasfilm is actively cooking up ideas for a Kenobi movie.”

It’s unclear if Ewan Mcgregor would reprise his role as Obi-Wan, but Neeson would definitely meet with Lucasfilm about taking Qui-Gon again. The actor recently admitted to HeyUGuys he loved his “Star Wars” character and would play him again.

“I most certainly would,” Neeson said when asked if he would take on the character again. “I certainly don’t want anyone else playing [Qui-Gon Jinn]. I don’t know what the current story now, at all. I think it’s Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, it’s [their] characters’ generation. I came way, way before that.”
