Bethenny is back and she's bringing the sass (and maybe some drama) to Season 7 of "Real Housewives of New York City." According to US Weekly, Skinnygirl mogul Bethenny Frankel is returning to the Bravo reality show for its upcoming season.

Frankel, who appeared on the show as an original cast member in its first season, quit right before the start of Season 4 back in 2010. A source told US that producers hope her return will help boost ratings. Reportedly last season only pulled in a million viewers, significantly lower than its record 2.6 million.

"Bringing her back is a last-ditch effort," the source said.

Apparently, Frankel won't be the only returning cast member fans see. The source said there's a chance Frankel's former BFF Jill Zarin could pop up in a few episodes.

"[She] might come back to rehash their issues," the source told US. "But so far it's just talk."

Zarin, along with Kelly Bensimon, left the show in 2011. The current "RHONY" cast includes Sonja Morgan, Carole Radziwill, Heather Thompson and Kristen Taekman. Both LuAnn de Lesseps and Ramona Singer appear in recurring roles.

Since leaving the series, Frankel has went on to launch her Skinnygirl empire which includes a cocktail line, shapewear and several books, including her recent children's book, Cookie Meets Peanuts. The story was inspired by Frankel's 4-year-old Bryn and her dog, Cookie, US reports.

Frankel also had a not-so-successful daytime talk show, which was cancelled in February. The 43-year-old also had a few "RHONY" spinoffs including "Bethenny Getting Married?" which followed her engagement to then-fiance Jason Hoppy and "Bethenny Ever After" which documented the newlyweds' married life.

Hoppy and Frankel have since divorced and just recently settled a nasty custody battle over their daughter.

Are you glad Bethenny Frankel is returning to "Real Housewives of New York City?"
