The sister of the Boston Marathon bombing suspects was arrested on Tuesday after prosecutors said she spotted in the neighborhood of the woman she allegedly threatened, The New York Daily News reported on Tuesday.

Aliana Tsarnaev, 24, was held on $5,000 bail after prosecutors said she a track record of missing court appearances out of state.

She has also been seen driving past the woman's Harlem home since her arrest in August, prosecutors in Manhattan Criminal Court said.

Tsarnaev is charged with two counts of aggravated harassment for allegedly calling her husband's ex, with whom he has children with, and making threats and allegedly referencing the 2013 marathon bombing.

"Leave my man alone. Stop looking for him. I have people. I know people that can put a bomb where you live," Tsarnaev allegedly told the woman on Aug. 25.

Tsarnaev, who lives in New Jersey, has been seen near the woman's home in Harlem since then, the assistant district attorney added.

She surrendered to police at the 30th Precinct after the August incident and was issued a desk appearance ticket to appear in Manhattan Criminal Court on Tuesday.

Tsarnaeva's attorney, Susan Marcus, said her client says she never made such statements to the ex-girlfriend, according to CBS Local.

"My client is an easy target," Marcus said. "This is an uncorroborated claim."

Marcus said Tsarnaeva, a mother of two including a 5-month-old, and her family had "absolutely no means," and it was unnecessary to send her to jail.

Tsarnaeva has an active case in Massachusetts and is required to check - in with probation officers since prosecutors said she failed to cooperate with a counterfeiting investigation in 2010.

Authorities said she picked up someone who handed over a counterfeit bill at a restaurant inside a Boston mall and "lied about certain salient facts during the investigation."
