Tim McGraw recently acted in his ninth movie. Pretty impressive film creds for the country superstar. But McGraw confesses that around his house his role in the science fiction blockbuster isn't the main topic of conversation for his country star wife Faith and his three teenage daughters - it's his co-star in the film.

"That ugly guy, George Clooney, that's who everybody at my house wants to talk about!" he good-naturedly said to Rolling Stone Country.

McGraw discussed his role in the science-fiction adventure film "Tomorrowland," which stars Clooney, Britt Robertson, Hugh Laurie, Judy Greer and Kathryn Hahn and is due to hit theaters in 2015.

"There's not much I can say about it because I read the script, I acted in the movie and I still don't understand it," McGraw told Rolling Stone Country. "It's a huge production; there's a lot going on. All the stuff I hear back, it's going to be spectacular."

In describing his "Tomorrowland" role, McGraw told Billboard magazine, "I play a dad who's a rocket scientist - [one of those is] a stretch. (Laughs.)"

He added that he has a potential new role in his sights.

"I just finished looking at a script that's really interesting - it's a dark, cool, 'True Detective,' cable mini-series sort of thing. I'm weighing if I have the time to do it or not.

So with McGraw's critically acclaimed acting stints in such films as "The Blind Side," "Friday Night Lights" and "Country Strong," what kind of roles catch his attention?

"I get a lot [of scripts]; it's just finding the right thing for the right time," McGraw says. "It's got to be something that moves me. As an artist, you've got to have a visceral reaction. If you have to think about it, it's probably not the right thing."

Perhaps it's like the visceral reaction his wife and daughters apparently have to George Clooney. Perhaps.

"Tomorrowland" will be released next May.
