Xiaomi has stacked up its inventory with 60,000 units of Redmi 1S for the next sale on Tuesday, Sept. 23.

Xiaomi, the popular Chinese smartphone maker, has received a positive response in India its  devices.  It is evident the phone maker is willing to expand its footprints in the country after enjoying several flash sales in the last two months. Starting off with the higher-end Xiaomi Mi3 smartphone, the company sold more than 100,000 units and now the company is selling its budget phone Redmi 1S. The phone maker is preparing for the next flash sale of Redmi 1S with a total of 60,000 units, up from 40,000 units in the last sale, Xiaomi said in a Twitter post last week.

India is an attractive market for budget smartphones. And if low-cost price tags are paired with premium specs, the combination is lethal enough to result in flash sales that empty the stocks in mere seconds.

Xiaomi had three successful flash sales for its Redmi 1S, each of which offered 40,000 sets in one go. The last sale lasted for just 3.4 seconds, which broke the previous record time of 4.2 seconds and 4.5 seconds for first and second sales, respectively. The company received hundreds of thousands of registrations for the handsets prior to their sale, which is a mandatory process before being able to purchase the phone.

Xiaomi is selling its handsets exclusively through Flipkart, which has brought great sales to the company. Motorola was the first to partner with India's e-commerce giant for selling Moto G smartphone. The company is reportedly planning to debut its Moto 360 through Flipkart but the release date is not yet set on the site. Google also launched its first batch of Android One phones on Flipkart through manufacturing partners like Karbonn, Micromax and Spice.

Increasing the stock for the upcoming sale suggests the company's vigorous efforts to tap the growing smartphone market in India. This also means chances of finally buying a Xiaomi phone on Sept. 23 are higher than usual. Even so, the phone maker advises buyers to be logged in 2-3 hours before the sale begins.

Xiaomi's Redmi 1S purchase requires registration, which is currently open till Monday midnight , and offers extra-ordinary features like a HD display, a quad-core Snapdragon 400 SoC with Adreno 305 GPU and 1GB of RAM, 8MP camera, a 1.6MP front-facing camera, a 2,000mAh battery at the cost of just $98 or 5,999 selling price in Indian Rupee.
