Giuliana Rancic - along with Joan Rivers' daughter, Melissa Rivers - are not sure E!'s "Fashion Police" can continue on without the legendary comedienne. The 40-year-old red carpet reporter told US Weekly that executives have yet to make a decision about the future of the show, but are considering "different scenarios."

"A lot of that will be up to [Melissa] and how she's feeling and how she decides what she wants to do, along with the execs here at E!. There is no word now - they are seeing what 'Fashion Police' looks like without Joan," Rancic said.

"A part of me is like Joan would want Melissa and us and the team to go on and I know she would," she added. "But it's just a matter of can there be a show without Joan? Do we want to do a 'Fashion Police' without Joan? I don't know."

Rancic has cohosted the show with Rivers, Kelly Osbourne and George Kotsiopoulos for the past four seasons.  E! Network recently announced a 90-minute tribute special, titled "Fashion Police: Celebrating Joan," that will air on Friday, Sept. 19.

All day Friday past episodes of "Fashion Police" will air followed by never-before-seen moments from the show, behind-the-scenes footage and hilarious outtakes. Rancic, Osbourne and Kotsiopoulos will also share personal memories they had with the late comedienne. Melissa is also expected to join the trio for the special.

Rancic also opened up to US about Rivers' death saying that she is still in shock over the loss. Rivers died on Sept. 4, one week after being hospitalized for cardiac and respiratory arrest. According to reports, the comedienne stopped breathing on Aug. 28 during an outpatient procedure on her throat at Yorkville Endoscopy Center.

"It was the shock of a lifetime, it really was," Rancic said. "I had just seen Joan 48 hours before her procedure. We were taping the Emmy 'Fashion Police' show and she was honestly better than ever and she even looked better than ever at 81."

"I still think she's going to walk through the door and yell, 'Giuliana, get back to work.' And it's hard to wrap my mind around never seeing her again," she added. "Joan really was larger than life. I think that's a reason I can't imagine her gone."
