Former Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice is allegedly getting the axe from the EA Sports game “Madden 15.”

Rice recently came under fire when TMZ released the full elevator footage of the former NFL player punching his wife and knocking her out cold. Rice is also seen dragging her unconscious body out of the elevator.

The footage angered football fans, since the NFL commissioned their own investigation against Rice, which led to a two-day suspension. The NFL claimed the full video of the elevator incident was never made available to it during the investigation.

“We requested from law enforcement any and all information about the incident, including the video from inside the elevator,” NFL spokesman Greg Aiello told CBS. “That video was not made available to us and no one in our office has seen it until today.”

However, TMZ reports sources connected to Revel Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City where the footage was taken claimed the NFL never asked to obtain the video.

“Sources who worked at the casino at the time of the incident tell us if the NFL had asked for the video, they would have gladly complied,” according to TMZ. “Former employees have told us someone with an affiliation to the NFL saw the video, but we are now certain that someone was not from Goodell's office or the core NFL executives.”

Rice has since been cut from the Ravens and is suspended from playing in the NFL indefinitely. EA has yet to comment on Rice’s removal from the “Madden 15” rooster.
