“Arrow” star Stephen Amell believes his character can exist on television and the DC Cinematic Universe (DCCU).

Comic Book reports Amell spoke to a panel at Salt Lake Comic Con this weekend. Fans asked if his character would appear in the upcoming “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” or the “Justice League” movie.

“Sure, I’d like to be in it. Absolutely! If Hawkeye can be in the Avengers, then Green Arrow can be in the Justice League,” Amell told the panel crowd.

Though Amell is interested in being a part of the DCCU, the actor doesn’t believe he would have the time to shoot a film and the CW show.

“I don’t think that logistics are going to make it possible for the television universe and cinematic universe to co-exist,” the actor said. “We shoot for ten months out of the year, literally ten months. And, boy, I’m just thinking about how difficult it’s going to be for when we do crossover episodes with The Flash, the logistics of that.”

However, Amell remained adamant his isn’t just playing the “TV” version of Green Arrow. The actor claimed Black Canary, Flash, Firestorm, Arsenal and other DC heroes shown on TV are the only versions of their characters out now.

“We’re trying to play the definitive versions as they exist right now. And we don’t need the movies to justify our television show,” Amell said.

The actor claimed he is excited to what’s in store for the DCCU, and believes “Batman vs. Superman” will live up to the hype, according to Comic Book.

“Arrow” season 3 will premiere on Wednesday, Oct. 8 at 8 p.m. on the CW. “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” is slated to hit theaters on March 25, 2016.
