TV actress and theater star Molly Glynn died on Saturday, Sept. 6, one day after being hospitalized when a tree limb fell on her while biking. According to CBS Chicago, the 46-year-old "Chicago Fire" actress was riding a bicycle with her husband and fellow actor Joe Foust when a tree limb came crashing down and struck Glynn on the head.

She was taken to Evanston Hospital in Chicago where she died from her injuries.

"I couldn't save her. I couldn't save her. She's gone," her husband wrote on Facebook.

"Love hard, people. Love hard," Foust wrote in another post.

Glynn and Foust were biking on the Forest Preserve Trail in Erickson Woods when the tree fell. According to the Chicago Tribune, Foust said he and his wife were about 25 miles into their ride when the wind picked up.

"It was harsh and quick," Foust said.

He said Glynn, who was riding behind Foust, suggested that they take cover until the weather calmed down. A second later, he heard a loud crack and saw a tree limb come crashing down in his rear-view mirror on his bike, Foust said.

Foust told the Chicago Tribune that his wife was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. Because of their location and the weather, Foust said it took paramedics 20 minutes to find him and his wife. The actress leaves behind Foust and their two sons, Chance, 17, and Declan, 13.

Another Chicago-area stage actor also died Saturday morning. According to CBS Chicago, Bernie Yvon died when a tractor-trailer ran over his car. Police said Yvon was waiting to make a left turn when a northbound semi-trailer truck ran over and came to rest on his car.
