Chelsea Clinton announced Friday she will no longer serve as an NBC News reporter after working with the network for three years, according to the Associated Press.

In a Facebook post, the 34-year-old Clinton said she decided to leave the gig "to continue focusing on my work at the Clinton Foundation and as Marc and I look forward to welcoming our first child," according to Fox News.

Chelsea's occasional feature stories earned her $600,000 a year, according to Politico. She would often cover humanitarian projects done by people or organizations.

"I loved watching the 'Making a Difference' stories about remarkable people and organizations making a profound difference in our country and our world," Chelsea added in her Facebook post, according to AP. "I am grateful NBC gave me the opportunity to continue this important legacy."

Chelsea's leave comes as good timing in case her mother decides to run for President in 2106.

"Chelsea's storytelling inspired people across the country and showcased the real power we have as individuals to make a difference in our communities," senior VP of NBC News Alex Wallace told People magazine. "While she will be missed, we look forward to working with her in the future."
