Snapchat is now expanding its usage to live events with a new feature called "Our Story" released on Friday.

The feature allows users to create and view public collections of videos and photos captured at sports games, concerts, and other live events, according to The Verge. Users can even share videos and photos with people who aren't on their Friends list.

With Our Story, you can choose to add your photo or video snaps to a bigger public collection, which can then be looked at or watched as a single Snapchat story by anyone with Snapchat. The creators of the snaps are not identified, but the feature does show that the snaps were captured at the same event.

Our Story was tested by Snapchat at this summer's Electric Daisy Carnival, as well as at other events focusing on music, which led to over 350 hours of content being shared, SlashGear reported.

You can watch the events by going to the "Live" section of the Snapchat menu. All you have to do is long-press the screen, and the pictures and videos will come up.

After being tested at the Carnival in June, Our Story was tested at the World Cup in Brazil in July. Only Snapchat users, as well as people that were physically at the events, were able to see what the feature could do, The Verge reported.

The feature is now available to everyone, and can be used at any live event in your neighborhood. While designed as a tool for entertainment, Our Story has the potential to be used in other fields, such as journalism.
