Batman-News has published images show vehicles allegedly from the Metropolis set in D.C., including police cars, buses and taxis. However, the website also revealed a possible reason for the “Batman vs. Superman” production heading to the United States capitol. (Click here to view the new set photos)

“A major action scene was shot in July in one of the big studios in Detroit,” Batman-News reports. “Without giving too much away… it involves Superman and the United States Capitol building in Washington D.C….

“Superman will have to answer for what happened at the end of Man of Steel. Half the public blames him for all the death and destruction. If it wasn’t for Superman being there, General Zod would have never come to Earth.”

The rumored scene could have something to due with Batman’s endeavors in Metropolis. GeekTyrant recently reported the “major” scenes were already filmed and involved the Caped Crusader attempting to break into Lex Luthor’s company building.

“One of the scenes shot featured Batman breaking into Lexcorp to steal kryptonite, and apparently Lexcorp had somehow gotten ahold of General Zod's body,” GeekTyrant reports.

“He went on to talk about the timeframe of the movie and where it picks up, saying that it starts ‘as the battle between Superman and General Zod ends or is ending (which would explain all the damaged buildings and vehicles we've been seeing in photos) and Batman/Bruce Wayne is attempting to make his way to the Wayne tower in Metropolis.’”

“Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” will be released to theaters on March 25, 2016.
