Rapper Eminem has been on the down low over the past few years, but news and rumors are starting to spread online that the rapper is hard at work with his new 2013 album.

It all began when his mentor, Dr. Dre, let it slip that Eminem was busy working on a new album earlier this year. Some reports say Eminem's new album witll drop July 2, 2013.

"Em is finishing up his project. And for me, man, I've just gotten inspired again to go back into the studio," Dr. Dre told Power 106 back back in March. "I'm just really having fun with life and having fun with being creative and trying new and different things with myself, just trying to stay active... As you know, it's been almost 30 years for me in music. It's a little bit difficult to keep getting inspired to get back in there but you know, music is my first love and I'm going to continue to do that as long as I can."

Now, comedian Chris Rock tweeted out a photo of himself in a recording studio with Eminem in the background, standing by the microphone with what appears to be sheet music.

Rock tweeted, "In the studio with Em don't sleep." Fans are mixed, with some sharing their excitement at the possibility of a new album from the grammy-award winning rapper, while others speculate that it's just a look-a-like.

Reports that Rock would make a cameo performance were once again fueled after he refused comment on the claims. The comedian discussed the post with Fuse TV , neither confirming nor denying his presence on any of the artist's upcoming tracks.

"I can't really say. I've been on the Kanye record," said Rock, referring to his guest appearance on West's 2010 album "My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy." "Maybe I'm on the Eminem record. You never know."
