Chicago Cubs prospect Kris Bryant has been absolutely dominating Triple-A this season. The No. 1 overall ranked prospect in the minor leagues belted his 41st home run of the season, which is the number to beat. He's the first prospect to hit at least 41 home runs since 2008.

Many were worried about Bryant because he exited Saturday's game with a foot injury, but it was later determined he only suffered a bruised left big toe and missed just Sunday's game. He put all injury worries to rest after going 3-for-6 since his return with a home run, two RBIs and three walks. In a combined 127 games with Double-A Tennessee and Triple-A Iowa, Bryant is batting .336 with 41 home runs, 105 RBIs, 78 walks, 15 stolen bases, and an absurd 1.128 OPS. Take a look at the video below provided by MLBPipeline.com for Bryant's 41st homer:

However, Bryant likely won't see major league action this year as the Cubs wish to have him further develop in the minors and the upcoming fall league. Another factor in the decision to keep Bryant in the minors is MLB service time. Basically, if a player remains in the minor leagues past a certain date specified in his contract, the team gets an extra year out of that player when he is promoted to the major leagues. You can read more about the stipulation in this Fox Sports article.

While the Cubs have the best prospect in baseball, the Texas Rangers have the best farm system in all of the MLB. The Rangers' eight farm teams, including their two Dominican Summer League teams, have the best overall record of any other organization and boast a .573 winning percentage. They also have one of the best prospects in baseball, third baseman Joey Gallo, who is batting .280 with 40 home runs and 98 RBIs in 117 games with Single-A Myrtle Beach and Double-A Frisco. But Texas Rangers GM Jon Daniels also reiterated we would not see Gallo in the majors this year.

Myrtle Beach and Frisco both clinched playoff spots and led their respective leads in the first half of the season and continue to do so in the second half. Myrtle Beach has remained in first placed despite losing 11 players that were promoted to Frisco throughout the course of this season. This is good news for the Texas Rangers, who have the worst record in all of baseball at 49-77. At least the future looks bright.
