All good things must come to an end, and a summer fling is no exception to that rule.

Us Weekly reported that Zac Efron's relationship with actress Michelle Rodriguez has come to an end, after two months of steamy hook-ups and parties. A source told the publication that both stars decided it was best to part ways.

"Michelle is going to do her own thing," a source said. "Zac knew this about her when he got with her. He's very into her though, and perhaps more than she's into him."

Several sources exclusively told Us Weekly that Efron and Rodriguez separated after getting into a huge fight during an outing in Ibiza, Spain. Other sources told E! News that the relationship "was never that serious" and that "no one ever really thought of them as together, just more of summer fling and nothing serious."

The "Fast & Furious" actress ended a public romance with model Cara Delevingne before beginning her relationship with the "High School Musical" actor.

"Zac still wants to be with her," an insider told Us Weekly.

Rodriguez and Efron were first linked together after being photographed kissing on a boat off the coast of Italy during Fourth of July weekend.

A few weeks later, the former couple was spotted making out on the dance floor at an Ibiza nightclub, horseback riding in Sardinia, Italy, and most recently having dinner with mutual friends in August. He was photographed leaving Rodriguez's home after a rumored sleepover on July 20.

Over the weekend, Rodriguez took to Instagram  to post a quote reading, "I no longer have the energy for meaningless friendships, forced interactions or unnecessary conversations," and captioned the post "Ain't that the truth. YOLO."

While Efron is currently busy filming "We Are Your Friends," his former love was spotted having dinner with friends in New York City Tuesday night.
