Whoopi Goldberg is tired of the constant changes and drama surrounding "The View" and reportedly wants to quit as co-host. A source told The National Enquirer that Goldberg is already trying to get out of her new four-year contract with ABC.

"Whoopi regrets roping herself in like that and is trying to figure a way out," the source said. "She wants to do other projects and feels network honchos are holding her back."

Ever since co-hosts Sherri Shepherd and Jenny McCarthy were let go, there have been rumors of tension on set. Last month it was announced that Rosie O'Donnell would take one of the empty three spots (Barbara Walters retired in May) but, so far, producers have not decided who will fill the other two seats.

TMZ previously reported that Goldberg slammed Walters during a recent test shoot with potential co-hosts saying that she's been "working with a cranky 85-year-old woman who's mad about everything for 2 years, and I need a break."

Reportedly, the comment came after Goldberg and O'Donnell got into a little war-of-words with S.E. Cupp over abortion. A source told TMZ that Cupp was doing a mock debate with the two ladies and made a "nasty" comment about an Australian couple who asked their surrogate to abort a baby with Down syndrome.

According to the site, Goldberg asked Cupp asked if she ever had an abortion and that's when things got crazy. O'Donnell also jumped in and told Cupp that she didn't want another Elisabeth Hasselbeck joining the show.

Nicolle Wallace, George W. Bush's former communications director, and October Gonzalez, wife to former NFL star Tony Gonzalez, also tested and are said to be the top two contenders to fill the vacancies. A source told the New York Daily News that Gonzalez and Wallace both worked well together during the test shoot.
