Actress Olga Kurylenko has opened up about losing the role of Wonder Woman in the upcoming “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice.”

Kurylenko’s screen credits include “Hitman,” “Quantum of Solace” and “Oblivion.” The actress reportedly tested for the role of Wonder Woman in “Batman vs. Superman.” However, the role was offered to “Fast & Furious 6” star Gal Gadot.

Desde Hollywood recently asked Kurylenko how she felt about losing the role. Kurylenko admitted the possibility of playing Wonder Woman did pass through her mind, but she was happy for Gadot and interested in seeing the film. Check out Kurylenko’s interview in the video below.

Though Kurylenko is happy for Gadot, another actress isn’t impressed with the casting choice. UFC bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey admitted to the Tommy Toe Hold Show she could play a better Diana Prince than Gadot.

"They're making a Wonder Woman right now, aren't they…I should have been Wonder Woman, man,” Rousey said. “That girl couldn't curl a two-pound weight, what's so wonderful about that? I don't understand."

Rousey has continued to insult Wonder Woman in recent interviews. Speaking to USA Today, Rousey claimed she was tired of seeing female heroines being portrayed as weak.

"I'm tired of watching this thing where the woman's superpower is dumbed down. In The Fantastic Four, the woman is the invisible one. In X-Men, (telekinetic) Jean Grey gets tired all the time," Rousey said. "Wonder Woman is cool, but she has bulletproof bracelets, while Superman is a bulletproof dude. It's like she has really cool accessories. I think about that a lot."

“Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” is slated to hit theaters on March 25, 2016.
