When news broke that actor Robin Williams had committed suicide, a British TV channel was airing an episode of "Family Guy" featuring the 63-year-old actor... and a suicide attempt. On Monday night (Aug. 11) BBC 3 aired an episode where Peter Griffin became angry over a roast of Williams on TV.

Peter thought the roast was too mean and wished that "everyone was Robin Williams." Shortly after uttering that statement, Peter was struck by lightning and woke up to discover that he had special powers: everyone he touched turned into the "Jumanji" actor.

However, the amount of Williams walking around started to freak out Peter and he tried to kill himself by jumping off a cliff but landed on Mrs. Doubtfire, a character Williams played. Peter then decided to cut his hands off in an attempt to stop his powers.

Fans immediately pointed out the eerie coincidence on Twitter.

"Was I the only one creeped out last night when bbc3 showed the Robin Williams family guy episode while his death was being announced??" one user posted on Twitter.

"Anybody else's head a bit trippy that last nites family guy ep on bbc3 was were everybody Peter touched turned into Robin Williams?" actor Martin Compston tweeted.

BBC Three responded in a tweet saying the episode airing the same time news broke of Williams' death was "just a spooky coincidence."

"It was scheduled more than two weeks ago so it is just an uncanny coincidence," a BBC spokesperson told Yahoo UK in a statement.

The episode was initially supposed to air again on Friday but BBC Three said it has been pulled from their TV lineup. On Monday, Williams' body was found by his assistant at his California home.
