UFC bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey believes she would make a better Wonder Woman than “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” actress Gal Gadot.

During an interview with Tommy Toe Hold Show, Rousey was asked which movie she believed would be better if she was starring in it.

"They're making a Wonder Woman right now, aren't they…I should have been Wonder Woman, man,” Rousey said. “That girl couldn't curl a two-pound weight, what's so wonderful about that? I don't understand."

Director Zack Snyder’s decision to sign Gadot has been questioned since the production announced her casting. During San Diego Comic-Con 2014, Snyder helped unveil the first image of Gadot as Wonder Woman.

Many fans claimed Gadot was too thin to play the DC superhero and her revamped costume resembled “Xena: Warrior Princess.” However, others praised the new costume and trust Snyder’s casting judgment.

DC Entertainment’s co-publisher Jim Lee recently defended Snyder’s vision for “Batman vs. Superman” during an interview with Variety.

“Zack is a comicbook fan and draws inspiration from the comics,” Lee said. :He doesn’t need to be given advice. He’s a talented filmmaker. He’s a super stylized visualist. He’ll do stuff no one has ever done with the caped crusader and blow everyone away. He knows how to take the sensibility of comicbooks and do what other filmmakers don’t know how to do”

“I know a lot of filmmakers will look at the source material and what we capture on paper and translate that entirely onto film, but it shouldn’t be a literal translation of the comicbooks themselves,” he added later in the interview. “We work in a medium that has no end. A film should have a beginning, middle and end and resolution until the next one comes out. We’re telling a story every single month. They’re different sensibilities.”

“Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” will be released to theaters on March 25, 2016.
