Detroit residents could get the first actual glimpse of the Batmobile from the upcoming superhero movie "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice!" It was previously rumored that a car chase scene would take place on Wednesday, Aug. 6 but according to Batman-News it's happening today (Aug. 7).

Residents and Detroit business owners were sent a letter alerting them that the car scene would take place from Aug. 7 through Saturday, Aug. 9. There will also be a low flying helicopter in the area. It hasn't been confirmed that Batman's (Ben Affleck) ride will be present for the filming but rumors are running wild that Detroit residents could catch the Batmobile as its racing through the streets.

As Batman-News pointed out, there has to be a bad guy and a good guy for a chase scene and it's highly unlikely that Superman (Henry Cavill) or Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) will be driving around the city. Just in case you want to know where the car chase scene is expected to be happening, one fan was kind enough to post a video of director Zack Snyder supposedly scouting locations. Check out the video below and you can read the letter sent to Detroit residents below, as well.

Good afternoon Detroit,

Beginning Thursday, August 7 through Saturday, August 9, 2014, a project in the area will result in road closures that will affect access to the Financial District parking garage. The road closures will also cause intermittent access to Chrysler House., Federal Reserve and the Qube building entrances.

Road Closures

- Fort Street from Griswold Street to Shelby Street will be closed on Thursday, August 7 to Saturday, August 9, 2014.

- Congress Street from Woodward Avenue to Washington Boulevard will be closed on Saturday, August 9, 2014.

- Griswold Street from Lafayette Street to Larned Street will be closed in Saturday, August 9, 2014.
