Platinum-selling musician Pharrell will perform outside of CenturyLink Field – home to the 2013 Superbowl Champion Seattle Seahawks – on Sept. 4 during the 2014 NFL kickoff. The performance, which will be presented by Xbox, is set to open the NFL's 95th season when the Seahawks play the Greenbay Packers, reported  The Associated Press.

Pop Singer Ariana Grande, whose career is red hot right now, will sing the national anthem. The broadcast will air on NBC and the NFL Network, according to the AP.

Seattle-based rockers Soundgarden will kick off the free hour-long event that will partly air on the NFL network, said the AP.

The event starts at Thursday, September 4 at 4:30 PST, reports CBS.

Keith Urban and 17-year-old Danielle Bradbery, who won season four of "The Voice," performed at last year's NFL season kickoff game featuring the Baltimore Ravens and Denver Broncos.
