Naughty Dog presented a live stage version of “The Last of Us” in honor of the release of the PlayStation 4 remastered title.

Lead voice actors Troy Baker (Joel), Ashley Johnson (Ellie), Annie Wersching (Tess) and Merle Dandridge (Marlene) reenacted scenes from the video game. “The Last of Us” follows the story of Ellie and Joel as the travel across the United States to find Fireflies, who are searching for a cure to the zombie virus.

Without giving the away too many spoilers, the game’s ending leaves the door open for a possible “The Last of Us” sequel. However, Baker and Johnson performed an epilogue that wasn’t shown in the title, which was a written as a “goodbye” to Ellie and Joel four years later, according to GameSpot.  Joel enters the room and tells Ellie he is going to marry a lady named Ester he'd been seeing at the camp.

“Joel meets Ellie there and she acts somewhat 'distant' and unattached until Joel pulls out a guitar and sings a song for her (Baker reportedly performed this live in Joel's voice),” GameSpot reports. “Joel then shares a joke with Ellie and the two enjoy a laugh together, alleviating the tension.”

Naughty Dog hasn’t confirmed if there would be a sequel to “The Last of Us,” but there is a film in the works. Cinema Blend reports “Game of Thrones” actress Maisie Williams is in talks to take on the role of Ellie. However, the production has yet to confirm any casting news. Naughty Dog announced the film adaptation in a statement last March.

"Our partnership with Sam Raimi, Ghost House Pictures, and Screen Gems to develop a film based on The Last of Us universe is a perfect fit," Evan Wells, Naughty Dog's Co-President, said in a statement. "Since our game released last June, we've talked with many companies about making a film, but we couldn't have found better partners who share our creative vision and high standards. We look forward to collaborating with Sam, his team, and Screen Gems, to make a movie that will thrill fans of The Last of Us and general audiences worldwide."
