Fleetwood Mac's Stevie Nicks has joined Season 7 of "The Voice" as an adviser for Adam Levine's team. The NBC singing competition show made the announcement via Instagram on July 9.

"#TeamAdam, welcome the incredible Stevie Nicks as your Season adviser!" the show posted.

Nicks, as well as any other advisers on the show, will help out the coaches by offering the singers expert advice during rehearsals. The 66-year-old singer is no stranger to "The Voice;" during Season 1 Nicks performed a duet with Javier Colon, who went on to win the show.

"I just think it's a great show," Nicks told "Extra" about signing on as an adviser. "And I know [Adam Levine] would never still be sitting here seven years later if this wasn't a great show."

Joining Levine as Season 7 coaches are veteran Blake Shelton and newbies Gwen Stefani and Pharrell Williams. NBC announced back in April that the "Hollaback" singer would be replacing Christian Aguilera, who is pregnant with her second child.

According to TMZ, Stefani signed a one-year contract with "The Voice" and Aguilera is expected to return to the spinning red chairs for Season 8.

"She's friends with the other coaches but has a strong opinion, which is also important," host Carson Daly previously told People magazine about Stefani joining the cast. "They can't all just be too lovey out there. So I think she'd be a solid choice."

At the end of March, the show revealed Williams would also be added to the cast after Cee Lo Green shockingly announced on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" that he would not be returning because he wanted to focus on his music career.

"It's been a huge year for Pharrell, with recognition for his contribution in the world of music - the 'Despicable Me' franchise soundtracks, his Oscar-winning collaboration with Daft Punk on the breakout dance hit 'Get Lucky.' His dominance in record sales in 2014, coupled with his incompatible accomplishments in the world of fashion and design, make him an irresistible addition to 'The Voice' family," said NBC boss Paul Telegdy in a statement.

Season 7 of "The Voice" premieres Sept. 22 on NBC.
