Director Zack Snyder unveiled the first image of Henry Cavill in "Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice," but production rumors may be overshadowing the reveal.

Snyder showed off the photograph of Cavill during an interview with USA Today. The movie is currently in production and many rumors have plagued the film, including on claiming Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman has completed her work on the film.

The director told USA Today he has yet to work with Wonder Woman on set.

Along with speculation about Gadot's role in the film came which villains would be making the cut in "Batman v. Superman." Latino Review reported Victor Zsazs, David Cain And Morgan Edge were the rumored villains of the film.

Soon after the rumors hit online, other movie gossip websites began to question the source of the Latino Review's reports, claiming it was from a fake leaked script floating around online. Another website claimed filmmaker Kevin Smith wrote the fake script to misdirect movie bloggers from leaking major plot points.

Then there were the rumors of Jason Momoa being cast as Aquaman. Momoa's connection to the film began in late 2013, but resurfaced in June when HitFix reported sources confirmed the "Game of Thrones" actor joined the production.

Momoa has continuously denied the reports, but teased fans about playing a superhero during a panel event at the Evolution Expo in Oakland, Calif.

"I think it would be really, really fun to play a superhero," Momoa said. "You know? I've always talked about, like, what's your favorite. I mean I love Lobo so... but ah... You know. It would be awesome.

"I don't see myself in tights a lot," he said later on. "I don't know, an anti-hero if you will. In life. So, not the smiling, parading to saving the world kind of guy. Yeah, the Hulk would have been fun!"

Meanwhile, JoBlo reported a list of alleged movie spoilers revealing what Wonder Woman's costume would look like to the relationship between Superman and Batman being extremely complicated in the beginning.

Unfortunately, Snyder and the rest of the "Batman v. Superman" production won't reveal any details about the film. Fans will have to wait until the film comes out in theaters on May 6, 2016 to see if there is any truth the rumors.
