Comedian Tracy Morgan is slowly on his way towards recovery following a car accident on June 7. The 45-year-old former "30 Rock" star and his entourage were traveling on the New Jersey turnpike when a tractor-trailer hit the back of Morgan's limo bus causing it to spin out of control and flip over.

The crash killed his friend and fellow comedian James McNair and sent Morgan and two others to the hospital. Nearly two weeks after the accident, the comedian and actor was released from a New Jersey hospital and transferred to a rehabilitation center, his rep told NBC.

"While he is continuing to show signs of improvement, he still has a long way to go," Lewis Kay said. "He and Megan wanted to publicly express their deepest gratitude to everyone at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital for the unbelievable care and attention they provided him."

Morgan suffered a broken nose, broken ribs and a broken leg. Earlier in the week he underwent surgery on his leg and his condition was upgraded from critical to fair. His rep said that the "Saturday Night Live" star will spend several weeks in rehab.

According to E! News, Morgan's assistant Jeffrey Millea was also upgraded to fair condition but comic Ardie Fuqua is still in critical condition. A preliminary report from the National Transportation Safety Board claims that the driver of the tractor-trailer, Kevin Roper, had logged over 13 hours behind the wheel before the crash.

He was also reportedly driving 65 mph in a 45 mph construction zone. Roper, who was driving a Walmart truck, allegedly failed to notice that traffic was slowing in front of him and tried to swerve at the last minute but struck the back of Morgan's limo bus. The limo then struck several other vehicles as it spun out of control.

The 35-year-old truck driver pleaded not guilty to death by auto and assault by auto.
