Jason Momoa is still denying that he will play Aquaman in the upcoming superhero flick "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" even though reports claim that he has been "confirmed" for the role. The former "Game of Thrones" actor appeared on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" on Wednesday June 18 and dispelled the rumor.

"Will you wear the green leotard in the water as Aquaman?" Kimmel asked Momoa.

"Would you like to see me in green leotards," the actor responded at first.

Kimmel went on to say "I liked that they cast you as Aquaman" but Momoa quickly cut him off and said that "those are all rumors."

"That would pretty exciting, don't you think?" he added. "You'll just have to wait and see."

Momoa has been linked to play Aquaman since December but Warner Bros. has yet to confirm the rumor. On Wednesday The Hollywood Reporter wrote that Momoa had been "confirmed" to appear in the superhero movie.

HitFix was first to report the casting news and wrote that "Zack Snyder has already finalized his designs for the character so shooting can take place soon."

Momoa has constantly been asked about the Aquaman role and recently got a little annoyed during a "Game of Thrones" panel at Detroit's Motor City Comic Con in May when a reporter asked if he was joining the "Batman v Superman" cast.

"What does everything tell you? No. Stop asking me. It's annoying. Sorry, you're not annoying," he said, according to Comicbook.com. "Oh you're the press? Get the f**k out of here. Here, put this in there - you're a d**k, you're a d**k. You're not a d**k, I'm just playing. You know what, I think it started when people said, 'What superhero would you play?'"

"And I'd say Batman and Superman, they'd be awesome together. Then people were like, 'He's in Batman vs. Superman!' I'm like, I really like Lobo. 'HE'S LOBO!' And then some a**hole was like 'He's Aquaman!' And I'm like - what did you just call me? Where the f**k do you pull out Aquaman? Seriously... And then it shows up on the Internet. Not that it's a bad rumor."

"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" will be released on May 6, 2016 and stars Henry Cavill as Superman, Ben Affleck as Batman and Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman.

The movie also stars Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Alfred and Holly Hunter in an unspecified role. Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane will all reprise their roles from "Man of Steel."
