Charlie White is engaged! The "Dancing With the Stars" alum proposed to his girlfriend of five years Tanith Belbin and announced the news on his Instagram account.

"Couldn't ask for a more beautiful setting for the best time in our life! Hashtag she said yes!!" he captioned a photo of the two.

The 26-year-old Olympic winner talked about his relationship with Belbin on the ABC dancing show saying that she is completely ok with people assuming he's dating his ice skating partner Meryl Davis, who also competed and won "Dancing With the Stars."

"She gets it," White told People in March. "She won the silver medal in 2006 with her partner Ben Agosto, and people were always like, 'Are you guys dating?' It's just something you get as dancers. [Her understanding] makes my life so much easier."

White also told the magazine that he's ok with people making the assumption that Davis is his partner on and off the ice.

"It's tough because we always presented ourselves as a package and we didn't really talk much about our personal lives because we just didn't care to," White said. "And I think people were hopeful [that we were a couple] because on the ice we were able to portray people who are in relationships, and then people want to believe. We take it as a compliment."

According to People, Belbin was present at "Dancing With the Stars" and was often spotted in the audience cheering the athlete on.

"She's impressed, I think," White told reporters about his dancing skills. "She knows where I'm starting from. Each week, she's seen just how much work goes into getting the frame and getting the steps and she's just been the most supportive. It means the world to me."

Shortly after White posted the engagement news, Davis tweeted a congratulations to the happy couple writing, "Congrats to these two! Beautiful girl, beautiful [diamond ring emoji] Good work @CharlieaWhite."
