Google has rolled out a minor update to its computer tech eyewear that simplifies the process of checking new notifications by simply looking at the Glass.

Google, the biggest internet search company, never stops experimenting with its products and services. The web giant has rolled out yet another update to its Google Glass, Wednesday. The XE17.3 update for Glass, which follows XE16 and XE17 OTAs in the last two months, doesn't boast significant changes except for one big addition of "Notification Glance."

With the introduction of the new feature, Google is bringing the ease of checking new notifications on the Glass display without the need to tap the touchpad or tilting the head up, which can be embarrassing in public and an irritation. Glass owners will only need to look up at the display when a new text or an email arrives.

The new feature was first reported by Android Police, after a XDA developer posted a link to the update XE17.3. Google officially confirmed the new change in a Google+ blog Wednesday, and also posted a photo of the new feature.

"Before, when you heard a notification chime, you had to either nod your head up or tap the touchpad to see it," Google Glass team wrote in its brief post on Google+. "Now, you can just glance at your screen. You can find the "Notification glance" card in your Settings bundle. Tap the card and follow a couple quick steps to calibrate and you'll be ready to go."

Google has been pushing a series of updates to its Glass of late. In April, the web giant rolled out 5 updates of XE16 and 3 official versions of XE17 in May, which is currently the latest version of Glass update. The latest XE17.3 is the forth XE17 update since last month.

The new feature is still in the experimental stage, but it has been pushed to all Glass owners to download and share the experience. To download the update, plug the Google Glass into a charger, connect to Wi-Fi and navigate to Settings > Device Info > Install Update and you are good to go.
