An "Avengers" comic book story line is coming to an end in as the superheroes are facing the Illuminati in the Final Incursion, according to a news release.

Marvel made the announcement on their official website by teasing the covers for "AVENGERS #35" and "NEW AVENGERS #24," adding "time is running out" for the superherors.

"After the cataclysmic events of the Avengers tie-in to Original Sin and the revelation as to what the Illuminati has been up to all this time, we jump the storyline ahead to the moment where time runs out for everybody," Marvel Senior VP - Executive Editor Tom Brevoort said in a statement.

"In addition to setting the table for the astonishing climax of Jonathan Hickman's run, we'll also be providing a glimpse into the immediate future of our characters and what changes await them over the course of the next eight months of publishing," Brevoort added.  "This isn't some maybe-future; this is the real deal, what's awaiting the Marvel Universe in the coming year."

Both of the new "Avengers" issues will be released this September.  For more information about the epic storyline, click here.

In other "Marvel" news,  President Kevin Feige may have found a replacement for director Edgar Wright after his sudden departure from the "Ant-Man" production last week.  According to The Hollywood Reporter, there are three directors meeting with Marvel to possibly take on the job: Rawson Thurber, Adam McKay and Ruben Fleischer.

"Sources say no decisions have been made yet, and Thurber and McKay are among a handful of helmers on the shortlist. Jonathan Levine (Warm Bodies) also was said to be in the mix, but a source denied that he has been approached.
