Burger King has given meat sandwich lovers less time to wait for their traditional food items.

The company told Burger Business customers can now enjoy lunch products at the same time breakfast menu items are sold.

"Selling burgers at breakfast at Burger King restaurants allows our guests to start their day their way - either with the great flame broiled taste of our signature burgers and sandwiches or with our delicious suite of breakfast offerings," the company said.

According to Burger Business, the fast food company's Burgers at Breakfast program will soon come to 5,000 locations during normal breakfast hours. The menu will include Whoppers, Double Whoppers, the new Big King sandwich, and Whopper Jr. burgers prior to their normal 10:30 a.m. daily availability.

Menu items will also include cheeseburgers, double cheeseburgers, a bacon double cheeseburger, the original chicken sandwich and french fries.

The creations join the King Deals Breakfast Value Menu, which features french toast sticks, sausage breakfast burrito bowls, and sausage and cheese muffin sandwiches.

Burger King's new program is the latest move by a fast food restaurant to boost sales, especially at breakfast time.

Taco Bell introduced its own breakfast, which offers the Waffle Taco, sausage, steak and eggs burrito, hash browns, and others, according to a companypress release.

AP reported that McDonald's has looked into possibly adjusting the company's breakfast lineup by offering its famed sandwiches and wraps past 10:30 a.m., but kitchen space and required equipment have presented some problems.

The company then added an After Midnight menu to certain restaurants to offset these issues. Minimal breakfast, lunch and dinner selections are now served between 12 a.m. and 4 a.m. when facilities are not as busy.

According to findings from the National Purchase Diary group obtained by Burger Business, customers tend to buy breakfast between 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. - 5 a.m. to 8 a.m. is not so common.
