New details have emerged in the tragic and sudden death of British TV presenter Peaches Geldof. According to reports, Geldof's baby son was by her side when her body was discovered in her home on Monday, Apr. 7.

Radar Online reports that her 11-month-old son, Phaedra, was playing near Geldof, 25. A source told the site that her husband Thomas Cohen had reportedly asked a family friend to check on Geldof when she failed to answer her phone.

Cohen had spent the night away from home with their oldest son, Astala. Eventually her body was discovered inside the home.

"The hope is that Phaedra is so young he wasn't aware of what was going on - the most important thing is that he's ok," a source told UK Sun, Radar reports. "It is devastating for Tom that he wasn't there but it couldn't have been avoided."

The model was an advocate for attachment parenting and was rarely seen without her baby son by her side. Sources told Radar that they hope her family will take "comfort" in the fact that Geldof did not die alone.

"Phaedra was by her side most of the time, even when she was sleeping," the source said. "At the very least, there can be some comfort that she wasn't by herself when she died."

According to Radar, when Geldof's mother, Paula Yates, was found dead at her London home in 2000, her baby daughter Tiger Lily, now 17, was found playing near her body.

Recently, the coroner released Geldof's body to her family so funeral arraignments could be made. However, the cause of death still remains a mystery. According to TMZ, an autopsy result was not able to determine what killed Geldof.

Most likely a toxicology report will reveal the cause of death but the results could take up to several weeks, the site reports. Authorities are treating the case as a "non-suspicious, unexplained sudden death" and do not suspect foul play as a factor.
