Chris Brown has reportedly "lost all hope" in jail, a source told Hollywood Life. The 24-year-old singer is currently serving time at the Los Angeles County Men's Central Jail until mid-April for violating his probation and getting kicked out of rehab.

The source told Hollywood Life that Brown's time behind bars is starting to take a mental and emotional toll on him.

"He's lost all hope. Jail has broken him. He can't be upbeat or happy in jail because he doesn't have control over sh*t," the source said. "He can't do anything on his own and he's told what to do, when to eat, when to sleep and sh*t, and people are watching over him 24/7."

Hollywood Life previously reported that the "Love More" singer wasn't getting along with the other inmates and he was reportedly being bullied for beating up ex-girlfriend Rihanna.

"One inmate said in passing 'you a b**ch for hitting Rihanna,'" the source said. "They be saying other stuff too, like 'you ain't no rapper, you a whack R&B singer.' They're in there trying to break him down."

Brown's lawyer tried to get him released from jail early but a judge denied the request saying that the pop star had an "inability to stay out of trouble."

Recently, Brown sent a message from jail to his fans and girlfriend Karrueche Tran thanking them for all their love and support.

"Calling for my fans, and you know I love y'all. Thank you for your support," he said. "Thank you for everything. You know, the new video just came out, so I hope y'all enjoy that. And most importantly, Kae, Karrueche, I love you. So thank you, Babe."

According to reports, he's expected to stay at Men's Central Jail until his court hearing later this month for the case in which he was accused of beating up a man outside the W Hotel in Washington D.C.
