The “Batman vs. Superman” production is set to begin filming in Detroit this month, and with that comes a slue of “Man of Steel 2” reports.

From the big Batsuit reveal to actors commenting on the production, check out the most interesting stories from the “Batman vs. Superman” production below. “Batman vs. Superman” will be released to theater on May 6, 2016.

1. Director Darren Aronofsky almost landed Zack Snyder’s “Man of Steel 2” job.

"I thought Zack was a great choice, and I loved his 'Watchmen' movie," Aronofsky told MTV. "I thought it was great. I thought that as a fan of the comic, you couldn't hope for a better interpretation. I liked the orthodoxy of it."

"It was interesting to add the pathos that they put into the character," he added, referring to "The Man of Steel" plot. "It's a hard one to do. You look at what Christopher Reeve did, and it was perfect, because it captured that 'good old boy' thing. But to try and redo that again and bring that for a modern audience is tough in a post-'Batman' and 'Wolverine' world. It's hard to do that."

2. Josh Brolin passed on the Batman role in “Man of Steel 2,” but is furious with the way fans acted after hearing Ben Affleck was the Caped Crusader.

"People were so disrespectful, How can you blame an actor for acting? I understand you're a fan, but people forget that actors are human," Brolin told Yahoo. "When you're sitting in front of a computer it's easy to go, 'Well, I wish he would die. Send.' But somebody's going to read that. Their kids are going to read it and the wife is going to read it. We're so computer-oriented that we forget."

3. Batsuit reveal will coincide with DC Cominc’s Batman 75th anniversary celebration?

4. Anne Hathaway offers “Batman vs. Superman” star Jesse Eisenberg advice as he takes on the Lex Luthor role.

"I wish I could say something, but it's going to be his experience," Hathaway told Total Film. "Keep a journal, which I'm sure he does some version of that already, just to remember it. Don't be afraid to make it your own. In my case, people criticized, criticized, criticized until they saw it, and then a lot of people liked what I did. Don't listen to anyone, do your thing. They cast you for a reason. I think he'll be remarkable, I'm excited to see it."

5. Warner Bros. CEO Kevin Tsujihara hints at “Justice League” film announcement coming soon, according to The New York Times.

“Two new television shows are coming to the CW and Fox, including one based on the Flash and another on a young Batman, and a film series will be announced in the near future, Mr. Tsujihara said. It is expected to include a ‘Justice League’ movie.”
