Ubisoft has announced "Assassin's Creed: Unity" exclusive for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, but there is another title allegedly slated for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

Kotaku reports "Assassin's Creed: Comet" is the rumored name of the last-gen Ubisoft title for the series. The alleged title will allow gamers to take on the role of a Templar and continue on with the theme of the sea battles from "Assassin's Creed 4: Black Blag."

"GameBlog's report claims that Comet will take place in and around 1758; that it will star a sailor named Shay who betrays the captain of his ship; and that it's set on the Atlantic Ocean," according to Kotaku.

"We haven't been able to confirm all of those plot details, and some of it appears to be speculation by GameBlog," the gaming site continued, "but people familiar with Comet tell us that this fall's last-gen Assassin's Creed will indeed be set in North America and star a protagonist named Shay, who is a member of the Templars, the assassin-hating order that has traditionally served as primary antagonist in the Assassin's Creed games."

The GameBlog's report also mentioned there will be appearances from past characters in the series, including Haytham Kenway and Adewalé. However, Ubisoft has not confirmed the news of a second "Assassin's Creed" title, but Ubisoft Vice President of Creative Lionel Raynaud did reveal to Edge online the company would continue making games for the last-gen consoles.

"We will have games for PS3 and 360 for this year and probably the years after," Raynaud told Edge. "We want to be able to provide games to people who are playing on these consoles. Black Flag was the first Assassin's Creed game of this new generation but it was designed with that in mind, but I wouldn't say it was a cross-generation game, as it has features that could only be for this generation."
