Casey Hudson, "Mass Effect" executive producer, teased series fans with a little bit of information regarding Bioware's new IP project.

Hudson took to his official Twitter account to explain how far the gaming studio's technology has progressed since their last installment.

"Milestone review meeting on our new IP project. Just blown away by the new technology and content on display. This team is amazing," Hudson wrote. "And, no promises, but the words "space nuns" were uttered."

Unfortunately for fans, Bioware is keeping "Mass Effect 4" news under wraps, but "Mass Effect 3" Lead Combat Designer Corey Gaspur took to Bioware's official blog to talk about the franchise's weapon design.

In the blog post, Gaspur exampled there are lists of "wild and impractical weapon ideas," but it's his team's job to create the ones that will "work."

"Literally anything goes (during brainstorming)," Gaspur said in a Bioward blog post. "The shotgun pitchfork sounds silly, but it could work. If you throw on an Omni-tool with a three-pronged bayonet, I could totally see it working." Gaspur explained how the combat team tweaks the "Mass Effect" arsenal of weapons and the evolution of their designs, including firearms designed for specific characters in the game.

"Normally weapons must conform to established game specifications to meet performance requirements, so you're limited by things like scale, the number of parts, grip location, and the number of polygons," Goldman said. "For Bianca, we ignored all that because she's special. This caused an incredible amount of work for the animation tree, because they had to make and maintain a special animation tree just for Varric. Sorry about that, guys."
