Actor Jamie Dornan was cast as Christian Grey in the upcoming erotic movie "Fifty Shades of Grey." He will play a charming, sexy and troubled billionaire who falls for Anastasia Steele (Dakota Johnson), a shy and innocent college student.

The film, which is based off of author E.L. James' novels, is expected to hit theaters Valentine's Day weekend. Before Dornan makes his debut as the enticing CEO of Grey Enterprises, he can first be seen in the historical drama "New Worlds," airing on Channel 4. In the show, Dornan has some pretty heavy sex scenes.

To help him get in the right mindset for some of the scenes, the actor told The Sun (via the Daily Mail) newspaper that he and his co-star Joe Dempise would watch episodes of "Sex and the City." Yup that means Dornan turned to Carrie Bradshaw and her girlfriends for a little inspiration.

"Joe and I watched all the 'Sex and the City' box sets," he told the newspaper. "That helped."

Whether he was joking or not, we just hope the actor had similar inspiration to prepare him to play Christian.

In related news, "Fifty Shades of Grey" wrapped mid-February and now fans are eagerly awaiting a trailer to be released. There were reports that because production was ahead of schedule (they finished filming sooner than expected), fans might see a trailer sooner than expected.

Other "Fifty Shades" buzz was whether or not Christian and Ana would return for a second move, and possibly a third. After all, it did take James three novels to tell their love story.

Back in June James tweeted to a fan that there would definitely be three movies but when MTV asked producer Dana Brunetti at the 2014 Oscars, he said he wasn't sure.

"I have no idea," he said. "I have no idea yet. We haven't even started discussing that yet. We just want to get this one wrapped and get it cut. We'll see the cut, see how it goes, and once it's released, we'll start discussing what happens next."
