Disney has confirmed they will be adding installments to their "Cars" and "The Incredibles" franchises.

Variety reports Walt Disney Company chief Bob Iger announced the news during their shareholders meeting in Portland, Ore. "Cars 3" and "The Incredibles 2" will be the next big animated films, whose predecessors grossed millions worldwide.

"The Incredibles is a 2004 American computer-animated comedy superhero film written and directed by Brad Bird and released by Walt Disney Pictures. It was the sixth film produced by Pixar Animation Studios," BroadwayWorld.com reports. "The film's title is the name of a family of superheroes who are forced to hide their powers and live a quiet suburban life. Mr. Incredible's desire to help people draws the entire family into a battle with an evil villain and his killer robot."

Disney also confirmed the highly anticipated "Star Wars Episode 7" will begin its principal photography at London's Pinewood Studios this May, adding some original cast members will be reporting on set.

"It has also been confirmed that Star Wars: Episode VII is set about 30 years after the events of Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi, and will star a trio of new young leads along with some very familiar faces. No further details on casting or plot are available at this time," the "Star Wars" production said in a statement.

Though the production hasn't confirmed any casting news, one Oscar-winning actress might be up for a role in the upcoming "Star Wars" installment.

"We can report that there's a recent Oscar winner who has been reading for a part for over the past month and she's extremely close to signing onto the movie: 12 Years A Slave's Lupita Nyong'o," according the Latino Review. "The part Nyong'o has been reading for a is a major female role and doesn't seem to be tied into the family lines from Episodes 4-6."
