Facebook rolled out a new update to its Android version of the app Thursday, allowing users to include photos in the comments, manage albums, untag from photos and more.

Facebook is focusing on the revenue-generating mobile version of the service, more precisely Android. The social network rolled out an Android update bringing some significant changes for  mobile users. The update, Facebook Android  7.0, allows users to include photos in the comments. This feature was long due for Android users as it was first launched for Web in June 2013 and for iOS devices five months ago.

Sharing photos and memes in comments section was widely accepted by users across the globe. With the feature coming to Android smartphones, users will no longer need to log in to a PC for sharing memes in comments section. The latest Facebook update for Android rolled out Thursday, is more focused on the photo section of the app.

Android smartphone users can upload multiple photos at a time in groups, along with tools for editing and deleting entire albums. Administrators of Facebook group can pin and unpin posts, in addition to reviewing pending and reported posts directly from the app. Users can also untag themselves from photos anytime, which is an important feature for people concerned about sharing specific photos with a set of people in the friends list.

A report from Android Police found that some users of the Facebook app noticed changes to the interface, a flat design. But the release notes in Google Play Store did not mention any change to the UI.

The update is gradually being rolled out to all users, which may take a couple of days depending on the region. However, if the update is ready, users can head over to the Play Store and manually update the app. If you are yet to experience the mobile version of the app, Facebook for Android is available for free on Google Play Store and for iOS devices, too, oniTunes.
