Kamarie Holland suffered a brutal murder.

An Alabama man who killed a young child in a horrific case that shocked even hardened law enforcement officials has been sentenced to death.

Jeremy Williams was convicted of kidnapping, rape and murder in connection with the death of 5-year-old Kamarie Holland on December 13, 2021.

He had paid the child's mother, Kristy Siple, $2,500 in exchange for sexual acts with the child. He then tortured and killed the girl.

Siple pleaded guilty to sex trafficking last month in connection with the case.

The case was very disturbing and difficult for the jury because of the audio and video evidence of the crimes found on Williams' phone.

"You shouldn't see a child like that," Russell County District Attorney Rick Chancey said to WTVM-TV. "No human should have to go through what she did."

At the sentencing,  Kamarie's father addressed Williams.

"You don't deserve life yourself," Corey Holland Sr. said, according to the Ledge-Enquirer.

He also read a statement from Kamarie's grandmother that read: "What kind of demonic creature are you?"

The Russell County Sheriff's Office said the investigation and prosecution of this case were extremely difficult for all due to the graphic and disturbing evidence.

"Evil, I don't think is enough. Monster, I don't think is enough," Chancey said. "You never expect to see what you're going to see and what I saw is hard to put into words."
