In an unusual case, we are now hearing from the doctor who stands accused of sharing disturbing images on his social media, showing a tragic incident involving a decapitated baby.

This came after the parents of a newborn baby filed a lawsuit against the doctor. The lawsuit alleged that the doctor had posted images of their lifeless baby's body on Instagram.

Dr. Jackson Gates and his business, Medical Diagnostic Choices, recently faced a default decision after failing to respond in kind to a civil complaint filed by Jessica Ross and Treveon Isaiah Taylor Sr., according to records cited by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

In the ongoing legal case related to the tragic passing of Treveon Isaiah Taylor Jr., an Atlanta doctor is caught up in a lawsuit filled with emotional turmoil and charges of privacy violation.

In July, the couple faced a devastating situation when their child tragically suffered a broken neck during childbirth due to a rare birth complication called shoulder dystocia. The Taylors felt a devastating result due to a medical condition where the baby's shoulders became lodged in the mother's pelvis.

Later on, Ross and Taylor sought the assistance of Dr. Gates to conduct an autopsy on their deceased infant. However, their distress intensified when they found out that Gates had violated their privacy by sharing distressing images of their deceased child on Instagram without their permission.

In September 2023, the couple decided to take legal action against Gates and MDC in response to these actions. Even though the court ruled in their favor, the Taylors' attorney brought out that the result provides little relief in the heat of their enduring sorrow.

Considering the couple's difficult experience, the attorney said, "They were taken advantage of, not only by the hospital, but also violated again by Dr. Gates, and it's been tough for them."

During the legal proceedings, Dr. Gates chose not to provide any comments or statements regarding the matter. The individual's removal from public communication is reflected in the decision to make their Instagram account private, effectively protecting it from further investigation.

The legal proceedings continue in the context of another lawsuit filed by Ross against Southern Regional Medical Center, the location of the childbirth. In her complaint, Ross claimed that the hospital staff's actions during delivery were reckless, which she believes led to the tragic decapitation of her baby.

The Taylors' case against Dr. Gates centers around the claim that he allegedly neglected to obtain consent for recording the autopsy and later shared graphic videos of the procedure on his Instagram account. Despite being warned to stop, Gates reportedly continued to share disturbing content on social media, further adding to the pain of the parents who had died.

As the legal proceedings take place, the Taylors are determined to find closure and guarantee that justice is served for the deeply distressing invasion of their privacy and dignity. However, the outcome of this case is still unknown, as a judge in Georgia has not yet determined the amount of damages that Dr. Gates will be responsible for.
