This is not new since Joe Biden is considered the oldest U.S. president in American history (81 years old).

But, what makes the poll a big deal is that its results were shared just a few days ahead of Joe Biden's State of the Union address, which will happen on Thursday, Mar. 7.

[POLL] More Americans See Joe Biden Incompetent for Presidency

According to Fox News' latest report, the new poll of the Associated Press and NORC revealed that 60% doubts Joe Biden's mental capabilities.

Meanwhile, 80% of them lack confidence in the American leader's mental capability.

Around a third of Democrats who participated in the survey said that they are not very confident or not at all confident about Biden's mental capabilities.

On the other hand, 38% of Americans still trust Joe Biden, saying that he is capable of handling the job as the U.S. president, as reported by the Associated Press.

When it comes to trusting Biden currently regarding certain issues, such as immigration, foreign policy, and the economy, the survey revealed that there's a broad discontent:

  • Only 4 out of 10 Americans support Joe's handling of abortion, Ukraine's war against Russia, and climate change.
  • Only 3 out of 10 Americans were satisfied with his performance on immigration, the economy, and the war in Gaza.

Joe Biden is not the only one who faces concerns regarding his mental capabilities. Many Americans are also not confident about Donald Trump's mental ability to serve as the U.S. president.

Only 6 out of 10 Americans believe that Trump is competent to run for presidency again. However, the 77-year-old politician received wider support regarding the mentioned issues.

American voters take the upcoming U.S. presidential election this 2024 because they consider it a showdown for the world's toughest job between two men already beyond the standard retirement age.

They expect that the next American president will be able to steer through global issues, work with a problematic Congress, as well as fix domestic emergencies.
